I am retired and before that, I was a financial controller in a multinational company.
Have you ever invested in real estate before?
Yes, I have already invested in real estate before, buying a house and an apartment.
Were you familiar with real estate crowdfunding before Foxstone?
I knew the principle of crowdfunding but not especially in real estate.
How did you find out about Foxstone?
It was through an article that appeared in Sunday Morning, I think, that I learned of the existence of Foxstone. Then I informed myself through different media.
What was your main apprehension when considering your first investment in real estate crowdfunding?
I wanted to make sure that this company had a solid and recognized foundation and support. The fact that BCV was a partner may have been the key element in my being able to join with confidence.
What were the determining criteria for your investment?
There had to be a sufficient number of apartments to dilute the risk. Thus, if an apartment was empty for a certain period of time. Also that the building was recently renovated, well maintained and well located.
What did you learn from your experience with Foxstone?
That it is very well organized numerically speaking. The formalities are managed remotely (which is particularly appropriate now) and with a good level of trust, especially the interaction with a recognized notary.
What advice could you give to people who wish to invest in real estate?
I’m not an expert, but I like the Foxstone “method” because it’s concrete, which is less the case with real estate funds.
